Lewis Silverwood is the founder and principal analyst at Maple Sky Lab in Guelph, Ontario. He spent eight years on the environmental chemistry bench at a large contract laboratory in Mississauga before establishing Maple Sky Lab in 2017. His particular focus is trace-metal analysis by ICP-MS and the design of QA/QC protocols that hold up under regulatory review. Outside the lab, he volunteers as a science fair judge at the University of Guelph and keeps a detailed field notebook of every unusual result the lab has encountered since opening.
